MEDICAID-APPROVED BIRTH DOULA

Starting July 1, 2024, Health First Colorado (Medicaid) members are now able to access doula benefits. The doula benefits include:

• Up to 3 hours of prenatal support

• Labor and delivery (no limit on time or type of delivery)

• Up to 3 hours of postpartum support

As your doula, you will still receive the following services from me:

• Perinatal and community resource list

• Birth vision development/birth planning

• Unlimited phone, text, and email support

• 24/7 on-call from 37-42 weeks

POSTPARTUM DOULA SERVICES

Not interested in the Agua y Sol Package? I offer postpartum doula support by the hour.

• $45/hour for daytime support

• $50/hour for overnight support

• Additional charge per hour for locations further than 15 miles

As your postpartum doula, I care for the birthing person and their family in their home in the first few weeks to months following the birth. The doula provides non-medical support and companionship, assists with newborn care and sibling adjustment, meal preparation, and light housekeeping and household organization. As a lactation educator, I also provide lactation education and support, and will make referrals as necessary for lactation needs outside of my scope of practice. I offer evidence-based information on newborn feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth and other issues related to the postpartum period. I will always make referrals as necessary to outside organizations and care providers. 

ABORTION COMPANION

As an abortion companion/doula, I can support you in any stage of your abortion journey starting from the moment you find out you are pregnant. Ways I can support as your abortion doula:

• Physical support: comfort measures while releasing the pregnancy, rides to and from any appointments, massage, sharing a meal together, preparation for the release and after care

• Logistical support: discussing your options, your rights in Colorado, obtaining pills for a medication abortion, navigating appointments, providing resources

• Emotional support: a safe space to feel all your feelings and emotions, creating a spiritual plan or an abortion intentions care plan

• Donation-based: pay what you can, whether that’s $0, $1, or more.

CIRCLE OF SECURITY PARENTING

The Circle of Security Parenting Program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. This workshop is for parents and caregivers of children 0-6 years old. Secure attachment relationships with caregivers are a protective factor for infants and preschoolers, setting the foundation for social competence and promoting effective functioning of the emotion regulation and stress response systems. I work with parents and caregivers and support them to:

• Understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs

• Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

• Enhance the development of their child's self esteem

• Honor the innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure

We virtually meet as a group for 2 hours for 8 weeks. Pay is a sliding scale of $320-$400/household for the 8-week program.
